Gray, a disillusioned mixed-race Indigenous lawyer and his wife take a break from their busy city life in Melbourne to visit the homeland of his mother in Nhulunbuy in the Northern Territory for Christmas in 1974. It is a dream holiday that escalates into a terrifying nightmare as the couple become the unwitting target of an unscrupulous racist miner.

Set against the devasting onslaught of Cyclone Tracy in the tumultuous times of the early 1970’s in a remote region of Australia, ‘The Nowhere Man’ tells the story of one man’s search to reconnect with his ancestral cultural roots and his ultimate fight for survival.
