Lew Temple

Actor

Lew is an extraordinarily diverse actor who often is compared to a chameleon: as he has the unique ability to take any character and make it his own. Likely most recognized as Axel on The Walking Dead, Ned Oldham in Unstoppable (which also starred Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, and Rosario Dawson; directed by Tony Scott), as well as Cal, the diner manager, in the dramedy, Waitress

Lew began his acting career on the stage of the prestigious Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas. In that time, Lew worked alongside artists such as Vanessa Redgrave in "Julius Casear" and Anthony & Cleopatra." Acclaimed writer/directors Michael Wilson, Terrance McNally and Edward Albee were also among those collaborations. Not too long afterward, Lew would begin landing roles from the small screen on television to the big screen between independent and mainstream fair. These films included films such as On The Borderline , The Newton Boys, just name a few.

Fun fact: Prior to eventual path as an actor, Lew had a Minor League Baseball career with the "Seattle Mariners" and the "Houston Astros." Working his way through the Astros system, Lew would achieve the title of Assistant Director of Minor League and Scouting.
